Art Inspiration: Black and White Art

For years I’ve been gathering inspirational art in numerous styles and mediums and it’s high time I shared them. The wealth of inspirational art available online is purely mind-boggling. And why should any of us be surprised? Here’s a list of some of my favorite black and white pieces I’ve encountered over the last number of years. Here’s hoping it’ll serve to be as much of an inspiration for you as it has been to me!

A dynamic piece by Michal Ivan on Deviant Art.

Sergio Toppi was an Italian Illustrator and master of his craft. I could have chosen any of a thousand pieces to feature here. But I particularly like this one!

Herron is a master of his craft. And who doesn’t love the predator?

Admittedly, I don’t know the artist of this image but the work is captivating. Aliens! AHH. Kudos to them!

This artwork by Steve Bissette on Alan Moore’s Rites of Spring never hesitates to just stop me in my tracks. In my opinion, this is masterwork that doesn’t get mentioned enough.

Matteo Scalera is another modern master with a fliud and dynamic style. Also, I love Dr. Strange

This is Frank Miller. Drawing the Dark Knight Returns. If you don’t know who he or this book is there’s a real chance you need to re-evaluate everything in your life.
